Wahab six pumps up Sarfraz, 1st test Australia 2016

Pakistan has absolutely nailed it in the second innings at the Gabba. Despite being at a long distance from winning the game the Asian side has surely put a strong mark on the game with the bat. Pakistan still needs 108 runs from winning this game. There are two wickets left for Australia to take. The game will commence tomorrow again as the match will enter into his final day. Pakistan has the centurion Asad Shafiq at the crease. With him is batting the leg spinner Yasir Shah.

Pakistan batted really well. The best entertainment given to the crowd came from the bat of Asad, Amir and Wahab. Amir and Wahab being the all-rounders did hit some really strong shots. Wahab Riaz in particular hit a couple of sixes and they were massive.

It is not easy to hit a six at the Gabba. The ground is big and the boundaries are pretty long. Wahab hit both his sixes against the off spinner Lyon. The best part was that both the times the ball was pitched in the rough area and yet Wahab managed it strongly. The first six went over long on. The ball was pitched in the rough and Wahab did not let it spin. He stretched his left leg to the pitch of the ball and just hammered this one hard and long. The ball met the middle of the bat and went a long way.

This hit was so influential that Sarfraz Ahmad could not resist from expressing his reactions on it. He was seen pumped up sitting in the dugout. In fact he stood up from his chair and was clapping really hard for his team mate. That was pretty emotional moment for him it seems. This is the Pakistan team we all know. They had a bad innings which might take the game away from them but at the same time their batting in the second innings has sent a clear message to the hosts Australia that they will not go down easily.

Australia will have put in a real fight to win more games. Pakistan has their chances. They have got a good batting practice here at the Gabba. The main players except for Sami, Babar, and Misbah got scores here. Misbah’s form will matter a lot. He has to make runs here. He is the skipper of the side. If Wahab can come in and smash the ball like that then Misbah can do that as well. Wahab fell in the final over.
